The present issue of KDB is a modest endeavor to highlight the Rural Development approaches, initiated by Mahatma Gandhiji. Ever since India embarked on the path of developmental planning there started a series of sporadic approaches. Gandhiji’s ‘Sevagram’ project was a milestone in the field of rural reconstruction. KDB tried to portrait the essence of the project as well as tried to track the saga of the developmental approach of Gandhiji.
